We also have every Strawberry Shortcake book, too. My two daughters, ages 3 and 4 1/2, love everything about Strawberry Shortcake and honestly, I guess I do, too. While the story's tend to be a little lenghy and are by no mean for beginner readers they do offer good morals and values. I am so glad that they are introducing new characters who live in far off lands. This book talks about Strawberry's friends from other countries and their cultures. Strawberry visits her friends and learns about things they do in their homes, languages they speak and the clothes they wear. I think that my girls would benefit from having a penpal from another country just like Strawberry. My daughters also liked the recipes. ...more
